God’s call for humility in prayer is a simple yet profound appeal to and love of His people. But humility, even for the believer, is an elusive attribute in today’s modern, contemporary society; It is not easily summoned as it must be lived out (practiced) in one’s daily life Phil. 2:1-11.
Furthermore, humility is characterized by an attitude that does not seek to exalt or assert oneself. That means love and inspiration towards our fellow man and unselfishly esteeming others Phil. 2:3. "Humility, in God’s kingdom, is an essential attribute for Christ-followers to have” (intouchdevotional, 2020) because it reflects the image and pattern of the behavior of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Daily ask God to order your steps (in His Word) and take charge of your thoughts, “For we walk by faith and not by sight” 2 Cor. 5:7.
Eph. 2:18 “For it is through Him that we both have a [direct] way of approach in one Spirit to the Father.”
Come to God just as you are. No prep work, no practice, no perfection. JESUS Christ, Saviour, Redeemer, and the firstborn from the dead, (Rev. 1:5) is the atoning sacrifice (1 John 2:2). He is the door. He is "the way [the only way] the truth and the life John 14:6." Believe and receive this free redeeming “gift” of eternal life John 3:16. Find a church and follow the baptismal protocol to publically acknowledge your decision and serve our risen exhalted Lord.
1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
